Sari Gagnon

Sari Gagnon is a writer, artist, performer, producer, director, editor and web content creator. She made her directorial debut on the feature-length documentary “Homeless in a College Town” (2013). She’s a producer at Counterfeit Cow Productions (CCP), founder of the Women Only Project, and host of SaGaTalk Radio, a live podcast.

Work Experience
Counterfeit Cow Productions (CCP), Amherst, Ma 12/2011– present

Producer

Plan productions, prepare shoot schedules, negotiate contracts, organize crews, develop marketing strategies, create project production budgets, office management and department organizer.

  • Write and produce advertisements for commercial clients such as Sibies Pizza, Mallove’s Jewelers, the University of Massachusetts, and others.

  • Social Media Director and Chief Strategist.

  • Organize yearly production schedules for company and fiscal budget.

  • Oversee the completion of short films created for the 48hr Film Project by organizing a film crew and managing each production.

  • Initiated an internship program for UMass students to gain experience in production.

  • Coordinated publicity and fundraising efforts for “Hope the Cow”, an interactive art installation that doubles as a piggy bank where donations go towards Craig’s Doors Homeless Shelter in Amherst, MA.
     

Women Only Project, Amherst, MA 01/2014– present

Founder

Providing collaborative opportunities for female filmmakers with various levels of experience. The group has over 100 members and produces short films, each created with an all-female cast and crew.

  • Coordinate script submission festival, oversee the selection of scripts and the organizing of production teams, that results in the making of several short films each year.

  • Supervise budgets for each film production, allocating funds appropriately throughout filming as well as post-production marketing and festival submissions.

  • Organize an event screening each year that is free to attend and open to the public.
     

SaGaTalk Radio, Amherst, MA 11/2015– present

Creator

Host of a live podcast show promoting independent film projects. The 2016 season had 22 episodes and includes guests such as; Nancy Oliver, Tom Schulman, Jack Epps, Ted Tally, and Richard Walter.

  • Recruitment of talk show guests, seeking appropriate guests for each week’s topic.

  • Research show topics and featured work/guests for lively conversation and social media interaction.
